Basingstoke is a town located on the M3 between London and Winchester. It is in the northeast of Hampshire, approximately 50 miles from London.
Basingstoke has been home to a variety of great novelists, actors, artists and commentators including John Arlott (cricket journalist and commentator), Elizabeth Hurley (actress and model), Jane Austen (author), and Lawrence Ambrose Brown, former Bishop of Birmingham.
