Beverley
is a market town, located in the East Riding of Yorkshire, 8 miles northwest of
Hull. Beverley
is best-known for its beautiful 13th century minster and fantastic market.
Beverley
Minster is the Parish Church of St. John and St. Martin.
As well as the Minster itself there are three associated churches: St Paul’s Tickton, St
Leonard’s Molescroft and St Peter’s Woodmansey.
Another building of interest is Beverley Guildhall, a Grade 1 listed building.
Beverley
market takes place every Saturday and boasts over 100 unique stalls, drawing
visitors from neighbouring towns and villages as well as interested tourists
from further afield.
Many
visitors are attracted each year to Beverley’s Folk Festival and Early Music
Festival.
Beverley’s neighbouring towns include Cottingham (7km)
and Lexan, (10 km).
