Brighton is located on the Sussex coast below the South Downs with a large population and thriving business community. It is well known for its two Brighton piers, large marina, Brighton Pavilion Palace, Theatre Royal, a racecourse, the famous Lanes and their historic and quirky shops and boutiques, Sea Life aquarium and party political conferences at the Brighton Conference Centre.
Brighton and its immediate neighbour, Hove, boast some grand regency buildings and its large Victorian railway station first built in 1840, with fast regular services to and from London and along the south coast.
The town offers visitors and residents many recreational activities for walking and cycling along the seafront, sailing, windsurfing, horse racing at Fontwell and is home to well known sports clubs like Brighton Hove Albion Football Club and Sussex Cricket.
