Hertford is
located in Hertfordshire, 29 miles from London. The town has a population of
approximately 24,000 people.
Hertford is
the county town of Hertfordshire. Hertford is home to a variety of landmarks
including Hertford Castle. The castle is Norman in origin and is believed to
have been built in 911. Other landmarks throughout the town include Parliament
Square, so named because the Parliament of England moved to the town during the
plague in the 16th century. Also significant is the oldest known
