Southend-on-Sea is a town located
in Essex, 40 miles east of Central London. The
town has an approximate population of 175,000 people.
Southend is a seaside resort,
boasting seven miles of seafront which features all the popular beach
activities such as windsurfing, volley ball and power boating. Adventure Island, found along the sea front, is
the U.K’s No.1 Free Admission Fun Park, boasting over 40 rides. Southend Pier
is the longest pleasure pier in the world, being 1.341 miles long. The pier has
been standing for over a century.
Southend-on-Sea is also
famous for its marine activity centre, which offers a range of water sport
courses including sailing, windsurfing, paddle sports, Jet Ski, and power
boating.
