Somerset is a ceremonial county located in the south west
of England.Somerset covers
a total area of 1,610 square miles and has an approximate population of 1
million people. Somerset has borders with Devon,
Wiltshire and Dorset. The county town is Taunton and other notable towns and cities include Bridgwater,
Bath, Yeoville and Weston-super-Mare.
Walking
attractions include the Coleridge
Way, this is a 36 mile path named after the poet
Coleridge who wrote some of his best works along the route.
There is an
extensive cave and gorge network to be explored including the Cheddar Gorge in
the Mendip Hills. Also notable are the Blackdown Hills and the Quantock Hills.
Somerset is also famous for being home to Haynes International
Motor Museum.
This is the largest car exhibition in the UK and features over 400 cars.
Somerset is home to Glastonbury music festival which attracts
nearly 200000 people every year.
